Japanese Tea Intermediate Course

Designed as a continuation of the Foundation Course, the Japanese Tea Intermediate Course provides an in-depth exploration of the Japanese tea industry, regional tea variations, and the diverse cultivars and production methods unique to Japan. Participants will gain hands-on experience by professionally tasting and evaluating a selection of lesser-known Japanese teas, including Kabusecha, Tamaryokucha, Wakoucha, and others. The course also highlights aspects of tea culture, offering a holistic perspective that connects the tea leaf to everyday life.

Completing this course is a prerequisite for the Japanese Tea Master Course, a two-week program offered by the Global Japanese Tea Association in Kyoto.

Prerequisite: Japanese Tea Foundation Course certificate

  • Japanese Tea Brewing and Professional Evaluation Methods

Your course fee includes:

Course Details

DATE: April 5 & 6, 2025

TIME: 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM including a 30-minute break. Bringing your lunch is recommended.

LOCATION: 2250 Main Street, Vancouver

NOTE: Attendance is required for both days to complete the course and exam to qualify for the certificate.

The course group is limited to ensure an interactive and personable learning experience.
